How is this different from other period trackers?

We don't collect anything. No accounts, no servers, no analytics. Cycle data stays on the device, encrypted by the OS. Most other apps store your data in the cloud and sell ads against it. We don't.

No. AsterKit is a one-time $4.99 purchase — no subscription, no renewal, no recurring charges. You pay once and the app is yours permanently. The 7-day free trial lets you try the full app before any purchase is required.

Why does a parent need to approve setup?

Accepted Answer

AsterKit is designed for teens (13+), and a parent or guardian completes setup to approve the purchase. This is a deliberate design choice — it keeps the purchase decision with the parent while keeping the cycle log private to the teen. The parent approves the one-time $4.99 purchase and then the app is the teen's own space.

I lost my phone. Is my data backed up?

Yes. AsterKit stores all data only on your device — that's the privacy guarantee. There is no cloud backup. If you lose your phone, the cycle data is not recoverable. We recommend noting your start dates in a secondary place if continuity matters to you.

Question 6

Can I use AsterKit on multiple devices?

Accepted Answer

Not currently. Because there is no cloud sync, data lives only on the device it was logged on. The $4.99 premium purchase unlocks the app on any future reinstall of the same Apple ID or Google account, but cycle history does not transfer between devices.

Question 7

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by us. On iOS: Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions & Purchases → Report a Problem. On Android: Google Play → Order history → Request refund. We have no ability to issue refunds directly, but Apple and Google are usually quick about it within the first few weeks.

What data does AsterKit collect?

No cycle data ever leaves your phone. The only data that ever leaves your phone is an anonymous purchase token sent to RevenueCat (our payment provider) when you make a purchase. That token is not linked to your name, email, or any cycle information. See our Privacy Policy at /privacy for full details.

My parent wants to remove the app. Will there be charges?

No. AsterKit is a one-time purchase with no subscription. Uninstalling the app deletes all local cycle data and stops any association with it. There are no recurring charges to cancel.

Question 10

The app isn't opening. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Try force-quitting and reopening the app. If the issue persists, email support@asterkit.app with: (1) your device model, (2) iOS or Android version, (3) the app version (visible in Settings → About inside the app), (4) a description of what you're seeing. We'll respond within 48 hours.

Can I use AsterKit instead of seeing a doctor?

No. AsterKit is not medical advice, not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for talking to a clinician. It's a tracking tool that lets you show up prepared. Most pediatricians and gynecologists ask three things during a teen visit: when your last period started, how many days it lasted, and how regular your cycle has been.
